Saints Row (2022) Cinematics

The selection of two cinematics and one DLC city flythrough I created for Saints Row (2022) and its DLC A Song of Ice & Dust

While Volition had a dedicated cinematics team, the video team was allowed to assist with a few tasks. The tools were part of the internal engine at Volition. Capture tools implemented were somewhat limited compared to modern iterations of engines like UE. There were no programmable sequences for camera or actor pathing in our capture tools. Camera movements and character movements were conducted simultaneously through two connect gamepads. Like all of our video work for Saints Row, we used Bink video codec for something lightweight and dependable. Because cinematics were played in full frame, they were rendered at a higher quality 60FPS and 4K resolution.
